Ok, that worked.

Was testing pic uploading abilities. So far, I can do it from my laptop, but I'm not sure if I am bringing it CC.

I can still upload photos, but I guess I can do it at night.

I wanted to be able to post images as I take them with my iPhone, but regardless of being technologically advanced, it cannot send pictures via text.

Epic Fail. Dammnit!

Text alerts or Comic Con

I just did a test to send updates via cell. Got it work, save that I cannot link 2 blogs to one phone. So, I'll try and recap daily on my blog, and then during the con, (which was what my original invite was for) send instant updates to the Room 23 blog. : you can follow them here:

Enjoy!

Packing for CC

This year is definitely going to ba an EASY costume year.
In the past, I've attended and worn completely uncomfortable (yet kicks-ass) costumes.
I used to live in San Diego and man the weather used to be awesome. I dunno what happened in the climate with global warming, but it has actually gotten warmer (especially during cc weekend....grrrr) than I have ever remember it being.

My 1st big time costume was from Star Wars; going as an Imperial Stormtrooper. I dont know how I did it but J and I actually walked right into 2 huge panels: Superman Returns and LOST.

I say amazing cause for most of the time at the con, I couldnt get more than 10 feet without being mauled for a pic. Fun in the beginning of the day, but, eating, going to the bathroom, trying to get some rest....hell no. A nightmare if you just want to walk and see things. Especially on the street. So, factor in all the walking, stopping and heat, I was done after 8-10 hours in the suit.
Hell, I even think I drove back to Long Beach that night. 2 hours back. I was finished.
I could go on about the following year as Boba Fett, but try and just imagine the above listed ordeal 10X as intense. Believe it, sucka.

SO! I have learned my lesson. While it's fun to be a celeberty for a day, I am still going dressed up, but very low key.
Thursday will be Dr. Horrible, the Joss Whedon-Neil Patrick Harris web/movie character, Friday, probably as Shaun of the dead. Speaking of packing, I have to throw in a bloodied cricket bat he used in the movie. Just from past experiences with costume props going thru airport security, I'll attach a note to it just in case they cannot tell red sharpie marker from real blood. Sat n Sunday, Dr. Who. Blue and Brown suit. Which will work, due to the Dr. Who panel on Sunday.

So, getting everything ready. Hoping the weather is fair and costume friendly. Looking forward to seeing a few old friends, Jaimie. San Diego Hooters and possibly a new spot called The Tilted Kilt!

Ok, if there are any questions you like to try to ask if I am lucky, please shoot em' my way.

CC 2009 LOST info

Here's what the official site says regarding this years panel:

11:00-12:00 Lost: The Final Season Begins, with Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse— In appreciation of all the fan support through five seasons of Lost, co-creator/executive producer Damon Lindelof and executive producer Carlton Cuse will pay homage to all the fans at their final Comic-Con appearance for Lost. Questions will be answered. Fun will be had. And you won't want to miss the surprises in store for the audience! Hall H

FINAL CC APPEARANCE? WTF? Nah. Not buying it. If I am lucky enough to get to the mic, I think that will be my primary question. I would like to know if they are bailing on us for next year. Think about it: After each season ends, we get to talk with them about last years season and the new one. Why woulndt they be there for closure?

San Diego Comic Con 2009 readiness

Hey,

Wanted to say thanx to paburrows, looking forward to sending reports from San Diego Comic Con 2009, meeting up, etc. Looking forward especially the LOST panel, which will now feature Ben and Hurley. Hopefully Elizabeth (Juliet) Mitchell will show, depending on her work schedule, but what the hell? Why not?

Another thing I'm concerned about regarding LOST @ CC. The official site lists this years LOST panel as the LAST one ever. WTF? So, next year, there will be no reaction? Will the ending be so bad that D&C will be afraifd to face us or maybe they just want a full blown vacation, huh?

Alright, if there's anything specifically you'd like have rerported, let me know and I'll do my best to do it....in between beers and if Scooby doesnt lure me to......

Tijuana!
